Becket Massachusetts

Becket Massachusetts was known in the 1940’s for having one of the five best trout streams in the Berkshires. The West Branch of the Westfield River, which forms part of the northern boundary of Becket, is known for plentiful brook, brown and rainbow trout.

Kayaking in the Westfield River is a popular activity, and there are many small lakes and ponds for your paddling pleasure.

When in town, check out the great live music and a cool local scene at the Dream Away Lodge, or cross-country skiing and hiking trails at Canterbury Farm.  There are many lodging options available, including home rentals or the B&B at Canterbury Farm.  You will also find the Sherwood Forest in Becket, with rental cottages along the shore of Nottingham lake with dirt roads named for characters in Robin Hood.
