Hanging Mountain Farms is located in Westhampton, Massachusetts close to the Berkshires. We the Aloisi family are fourth generation syrup producers, a tradition starting in the 1940's. We are open to the public and invite you to stop by for a tour and to take home some maple syrup to enjoy over and over again.
Our specialty* is multigrain pancakes,
homemade maple oatmeal bread, our delicious baked oatmeal and Nita's Egg Bake that is truly light and fluffy. Want to try a little of several things?
We have a sampler plate that you may choose different items from.
While enjoying breakfast, you can learn about this amazing green building. The Strawbale Cafe is built completely out of straw bale with a post and beam construction the straw bales wrap around. It was built entirely by family, friends and many volunteers over a 4 year period. We hope you will come and enjoy the warmth and coziness of this great new cafe, and learn about this unique alternative building style.
Our sugar season runs from the end of February to the beginning of April.
Hours of operation during the season are
Fri & Sat 8 am to 1pm
Sun 8am to 2pm
Other times are also available, but are dependent on the weather, so call ahead. Call us to see if we are boiling on the day you would like to come out for a visit.
